About

Viola Orchards is located  west of Estacada.  Owners Brian and Lavina established the farm in 2016.  Hand grafting over 118 varieties of american cider, crab, culinary and heirloom apple trees.  Between 2018 and 2024 they have planted thousands of trees in the orchard.

In addition to apple trees, Viola Orchards also began planting herbs and berries to be used in their products alongside the blackberries, and Douglas Fir Tips that were already established on the property.

Sourcing additional fruit has been necessary to keep up with demand.  Viola Orchards chooses to source fruits locally in Oregon from independent farmers.

In 2019 the cidery was established on the farm, in Estacada, OR, in the Viola Valley.  As well as picking apples in their orchard, Brian and Lavina hand pick similar varieties from an orchard 30 miles away in the Willamette Valley.

Once picked and pressed, Viola Orchards begins the cider making by fermenting the juice via a cultured yeast process. Once fermentation is complete the cider is packaged and ready for enjoyment.

In 2024, Viola Orchards established a farm stand on the corner of S Redland Rd and S Mattoon Rd.  This farm stand is seasonally open selling fresh pressed, unpasteurized cider from the orchard.  The 2025 farmstand season will bring new products, including grafted trees ready to plant, fresh pressed juice, and preserves from the farm.
